MANY LIVES ; MANY MASTERS....

THIS WAS A TITLE THAT I FOUND AT A NEARBY BOOK-CAFE AND FOUND AN URGE TO GO THROUGH IT..SO I TOOK IT HOME...WHILE GOING THROUGH THE PAGES OF THIS BOOK I FOUND MYSELF IN A STATE OF A MEANINGFUL CONCIUSNESS; AT A PATH ON A MYSTERIOUS ROAD...
IT BASICALLY TELLS ABOUT THE AUTHOR'S EXPERIENCES WITH HIS PATIENT WHEN SHE'S UNDER HYPNOSIS.. THE TRUTH THAT UNFOLDS WITH EACH CHAPTER IS REALLY SHOCKING; AS IT DEALS WITH THE CONCEPTS OF LIFE AFTER DEATH;ABOUT THE METAPHYSICAL STATE WHICH IS THERE SOMEWHERE AND TODAY JUST FEW ARE AWARE OF IT.. THE WRITER, BRIAN L. WEISS HAS PUT INTO THE BOOK AN INTERACTION WITH THE BELIEVED ' MASTERS ' OF THE MANKIND... THE BOOK IS STIL HALF READ BUT IT IS PROMISING SOMETHING WHICH IS SUPPOSE TO UNCOVER MANY SECRETS WHICH ARE TO BE KNOWN BY TODAY...THIS IS SOMETHING WHICH WILL MAKE YOU STRONG MENTALLY AND SPIRITUALLY..IT ALSO RAISES MANY DOUBTS WHICH ARE TO BE CLEARED WITH TIME AND ALSO WITH SOME EXPERIENCES ( FOR WHICH I AM GOING TO THE BANGALORE ASHRAM ).. THE ASHRAM PROMISES COMPLETE MASTI AND ALSO I HOPE TO GET ANSWERS;TO ALL OF MY QUESTIONS;WHICH AT PRESENT SEEM SO FAR....

SMALL FORTUNES...!!!

Money Today suggests four ways to save on costs, which when invested wisely can create wealth...

BATTERY CHARGER

Buy a battery charger and some rechargeable batteries. In two months, the charger will help you cut your expenses on batteries. Rechargeable batteries cost Rs. 45 a piece and last for about a year.
Cost of 2 AA cells(last 7 hours)= Rs. 14
Monthly cost (100 hours usage)= Rs. 200
Cost of charger and four batteries= Rs. 400
Monthly cost of replacing and recharging four batteries= Rs. 40
Saving per month= Rs. 160
If that money was invested every month in a scheme that earned 10 percent annually, it would grow to Rs 1.97 lakh in 25 years.

SMOKING

If a 35 years old person quits smoking, he can save upto Rs. 12 lakh by the time he\she retires.
Cost of cigarette pack=Rs.40
Monthly cost:Rs 40*30= Rs1200
Yearly cost=Rs.1,200*12= Rs. 14,400
If that money was invested every month in a scheme that earned 10 percent annually, it would grow to Rs. 12 lakh in 23 years.

CFL lights

Within a year, a CFL that consumes less electricity pays for itself.
Cost of monthly usage CFL(22 watt)=Rs. 9.50
Ordinary (100 watt)=Rs. 43(for six hours a day)
Cost of usage per year( including replacing a CFL costing Rs. 200 every 8,000 hours and and ordinary bulb costing Rs. 15 every 1,000 hours)
CFL= Rs.168, Ordinary= Rs. 546, Saving= Rs. 378
Replace 15 bulbs in your house with CFL's and you save Rs. 472 a month. If that money was invested every month in a scheme that earned 10 percent annually, it would grow to Rs. 5.82 lakh in 25 years.

EATING OUT

If you eat out five times a month and spend an average of 600 per o, a small cut can add to phenomenal savings.
Average bill= Rs. 600
Monthly bill= Rs. 600*5= Rs. 3000
If you cut down the nimber of outings to just four times a momth, you would save Rs. 600 a month. If that money was invested every month in a scheme that earned 10 percent annually, it would grow to 7.4 lakh in 25 years.

THE NEXT TARGET...

Hi guys !!
Since the day ramnik bhaiya came for a yes+ in Thapar University; things have been refined to a new level in our college and among the  students.. The 200 strength course has made its impact..

The course has created a lot of hardcore volunteers who have set their target for the next course by bhaiya starting from 4th november; which is a course of 1000 youth from the university..

When the target was set; there were doubts all around;but they soon vanished when  the first year guys got 50 registrations in less than an hour( post dinner )...
their commitment is awesome.. i was totally amazed to see these guys arranging everything by themselves ; they are giving superb talks and getting quick registrations :)

i wonder what will they become when they go for their first advance course this december.. most of us will be  there for a 5 day masti.. !!
The work has begun and it promises a growth unimaginable and i see these guys expanding their comfort zones to grab the knowledge that lies ahead...

stay tuned..

JHAK.... JHAK.... JHAKAAS..!!

This is the dialogue that marked the beginning of a special journey for us in the jalandhar city...We reached places that were unexplored , heights that were unreachable , and the bliss of divinity at a level far beyond our reach before... and it all happened within our-self.. It was a 3.5 days D.S.N. program that acted as a catalyst in the 'reaction of life'...
We took our bikes for a 70 km journey from ludhiana to jalandhar to meet the most Rocking and The most Jhakaas personality of the 'Art of living' family... There he was;addressing us(among 148 other participants)...and the man behind the curtain is 'Anand Rajendran'... Words can't express him.. spending those days with him was an experience of a lifetime ((which i want to feel again :) )) .... There were people from all age groups but mentally speaking;all were youngsters;ready to rock come what may!!... actually he made us rock each moment... There's a lot to write about him.. So do wait for the next post and his pics...

WAKE ME UP COZ SEPTEMBER BAS BEGUN !!...

As i was listening to some of my favourite tracks some nice thoughts came through this mind... this september has something promising to give us... its the conversion from a present personality to that of a more refined form... it will take 3 days for its completion starting from 4th this month...its called the D.S.N. ...
rest of this later;first i wanted to share something called 'commitment' ... the joy that this word gives when applied practically is untold.. we keep longing for things we never get and then we fall in a round path of desire which can only be broken by having a sense of dispassion...
cutting the serious stuff ,the joy i got today when i did my every task with a 100% commitment was the ultimate pleasure... just give it a shoot guys; just for 1 day say to yourself that 'yes! today i will do this task fully, come what may' and you will see the beauty yourself.. i experienced it today and it feels great...
it was like a new sun in the sky rising specially for me just to give a pat on my back... :)

OUT WITH A BANG...INTO THE SEA OF LOVE..!!

'arey itni jaldi khatam ho gaya..?'
'abhi to mazza aana shuru hua tha'
'when is it happening again..?'
these are very few things which the YES+ participants were heard saying at the last day of the course... each of them is floating in the sea of happiness and divinity... this is the impact that YES+ has made on them..
my daily walk towards my college from the hostel is not same anymore... its more like a familier environment coz everytime a smiling face is looking towards me just to say- 'jai gurudev' and the rest of the day just goes as my lucky day... my family members have increased by 192 in last 7 days and it promises to grow at a fast pace... Ramnik bhaiya has cast a spell of belongingness on all of us... to believe it; you got to feel it...
Its your chance to be a part of the spell at the next YES+ with Ramnik bhaiya starting 4th november in Thapar University...
see you there... :)

THE S.R.K. EFFECT WITH RAMNIK BHAIYA

We are into the 4th day of the biggest ever YES+ ever held in Punjab.. The SRK has done its magic on the 200+ people in the course.. the smiles have gone bigger and permanent... Man! you got to be there to see those guys and girls transferring themselves into a complete personality.. Ramnik bhaiya is putting everything into the course, that energy level is simply awesome.. The course which people thought as another workshop in Thapar University has done miracles for those who joined in ;courtesy: Ramnik Bhaiya.. participants are now finding a way to extend this to some more days (which is obviously not possible!! ) , today some juniors asked me-"bhaiya next time phir se hamare college mein kab hoga ye"

Ramnik bhiaya has a perfect day planning before the course.. Early in the morning he does his daily workout( exercise and sadhna) with the volunteers.. We all go to the college library lawn with him at around 6 am... This saturday we spent a little extra time with him both before and after the course.. He showed us how one can be Trendy and tune in with the society.. We need to shine out in everything we do; and its our effort to see how we can which will automatically bring dedication towards anything we do..
Yesterday after the course ,in his room, we were about 15 people having dinner together.. There were laughs all around when we discuused some funny incidents in the course, and during that time we all could feel ramnik bhaiya's love showering on us and it fealt great...
Bhiaya ended the session at 12:25 with his joke which i have put here in his words-
"ek bar kya hota hai ki ek scientist apne telescope se taare dekh rahan hota hain...
aachanak hi ek tara toot ke girta hain...
piche baitha santa bolta hain- wah kya nishana maara hain..!!! "
the room filled with laughter !!

here are very few of the course pics to give you a feel of the course-

TOKYO's SKY CITY

It is not like any ordinary city which the world is seeing today but its just beyond the imagination of a common man today...

"Some Japanese architects want to change our approach to urban crowding. They think we can live in the sky, and they hope to build a vertical city twice the height of today's tallest skyscraper that would house, employ and entertain hundreds of people."The plans for Tokyo Sky City are to build towers up to 3300 feet tall. That’s about twice the size of today’s tallest skyscrapers. Towers would be connected to provide housing, office, and recreational units.

Connected towers would provide everything the residents might require. It is entirely possible that some people would live and die at a ripe old age without ever leaving the city within a city.

Such massive structures will require engineering and building material break through before they can be constructed. For example, a new type of concrete will have to be developed that will retain its strength over hundreds of years.

While such plans seem to be futurist and may yet take decades to actually be developed into construction no doubt that in time such cities will be build. The way cities have evolved in the past is not efficient either in the use of land resources, in the supply of utilities like electric power and water, and in transporting people between work and resident areas.

If u are interested in exploring more about this amazing city just click here and take a tour of this beautiful and fascinating city....

Here is a video related with Tokyo's Sky City.... Hope u will love watching it...

ps leave a comment so that i may know how u like it....

ENTER:RAMNIK BANSAL

The time was 9:00 pm,19th august and a guy was standing at my college gate. He has this long hair going till shoulders, dashing personality ,a style which everybody longes for, killing were his looks , had a laptop bag on his shoulders , dressed in the latest branded clothes with his white Reebok shoes visible from a distance as he was waiting for someone. The first thought that came immediately was "Ah! another trendy figure from Thapar University"..

But to our utter surprise it was none other than RAMNIK BANSAL, the ultimate YES+ teacher who was there to take a one week YES+ course, which we were organising, for college students (including my college) . Now we had realised that we were deceived at the first stage by ramnik bhaiya and it reminded me of a saying-"APPEARANCES ARE DECEPTIVE"... :) . I had never met bhaiya personally before but had heard enough to evoke that meeting spirit in me... So there he was in front of me.His eyes are like a scanner which can easily categorise a person by observing him for 4-5 seconds... So all the volunteers were traced easily...Finally we all were in the guest room of hostel H with ramnik bhaiya entering into the hostel in a swanky manner while lipsing beautiful songs while we all just putting our best effort to catch with the tune (which we actually couldn't )..
The course was to start 2 days from then..

Today was the first day of the course with 192 participants registered to be with him for the next 7 days. It passed just perfectly promising another 6 days of ultimate fun for this youth...
For the last 2 days we were with bhaiya most of the time...Just by hearing his 2 lines we are boosted with energy, so the 2 days had no doubt a large impact..I am not gonna miss even a single moment with him for the next 6 days before he goes to NIT,jalandhar for youth empowerment.. He declared this week as the 'week of revival' for all the volunteers ;in which he talked about some of the coolest fundas of organising things; which i will be writing in the next post and something about myself too. For time being;i am Nitish Chhabra, pursuing B.tech in 2nd year in Thapar University...
Man ! we alll just love this guy..here's his pic..

and as Bawa says-Tilll further notice;celebrate everything !!!

101 Reasons to go VEGGIE...

I can give you people those who take non vegetarian diet 101 reasons to go for veg diet... i read it on bawa's blog and liked it so much that i wanted to put it on mine blog too...This content has been copied by me from bawa's blog...

PEOPLE

  1. Every year in the UK we feed our livestock enough food to feed 250,000,000 people while in the world 30,000,000 people die of starvation
  2. 20 vegetarians can live off the land required by one meat eater
  3. Every 3 seconds a child dies of starvation somewhere in the world
  4. If Americans reduced their meat consumption by 10% it would free 12,000,000 tons of grain - enough to feed 60,000,000 people (the population of Great Britain)
  5. If all Americans became vegetarian, it would free enough grain to feed 600,000,000 people (the population of India)
  6. Intensification in animal farming has displaced 1,000,000's of people from their traditional lands - eg. indigenous people in south & central america, native americans in north america & crofters in Great Britain - this is continuing today
  7. People displaced from their lands into cities succumb to dietary deficiency, diseases, parasites & opportunistic diseases
  8. In third world countries 1 in 10 babies die before their first birthday
  9. The UK imports 46,000,000 worth of grain from third world countries to feed our livestock
  10. Due to overgrazing 850,000,000 people live on land threatened by desertification & over 230,000,000 already live on land so severely desertified that they are unable to sustain their existence & face imminent starvation
  11. 1,000,000,000 people in the west gorging on meat & dairy leave 1,000,000,000 to waste away & 3,500,000,000 teeter on the brink

LAND

  1. If they continue to clear American forests to raise cattle at the present rate, in 50 years there will be none left
  2. 1 acre yields 165 lbs of beef or 20,000 lbs of potatoes
  3. 8/10 of cultivated land in the UK is used to grow food for animals (14,732,000 hectares)
  4. It takes 16lbs of high protein soya to produce 1 lb of beef
  5. Since 1945 in the UK we have lost 95% of flower meadows, 50% of ancient woodlands, 40% of heathlands, 50% of wet lands & 224,000 km of hedgerows all due to animal farming
  6. Pressure on land due to meat farming leads to soil erosion 6billion tons/year in the USA
  7. If everyone went vegetarian upto 90% of land used for animal farming could be taken out of production & used to replant woodlands, leisure activities etc.
  8. 25% of Central america's forests have been destroyed for cattle grazing since 1960
  9. Between 1966-1983 38% of the Amazon rain forest was destroyed for cattle grazing
  10. 90% of cattle ranches established on cleared forest land go bankrupt in less than 8 years as the land becomes barren due to nutrient loss & overgrazing
  11. Overgrazing by cattle is destroying the land & increasing desertification, nearly 430 million acres in the USA alone has suffered a 25-50% reduction in yield since first grazed
  12. An inch of topsoil takes 200-1000 years to develop - yet in the USA they have lost around 1/3 of their prime topsoil in 200 years (around 7 inches) due to animal farming
  13. Land will be lost due to rises in sea level due to global warming due to animal farming

AIR

  1. The destruction of the rainforest by cattle farmers is destroying the lungs of the planet & reducing the worlds capacity to replenish our oxygen supply
  2. The 1,300,000,000 cattle in the world emit 60,000,000 tons of methane per year (methane is a greenhouse gas & leads to global warming)
  3. Burning of forests, grasslands & agricultural waste associated with animal farming releases 50-100,000,000 tons of methane per year
  4. Combining these figures, 25% of methane emissions are due to animal farming (not including the billions of sheep, pigs & poultry so the real figure is much higher)
  5. Fertilizer used to grow crops to feed to animals releases nitrous oxide - thought to account for 6% of the greenhouse effect
  6. Fertilizer, weedkiller & pesticides sprayed on crops enter the atmosphere creating a noxious carcinogenic cocktail
  7. CFCs are released into the air from refrigeration units used to store decomposing flesh (meat), milk & butter - CFCs are destroy the ozone layer
  8. Ammonia from animal urine also pollutes the atmosphere
  9. CO2 is released by burning oil & petrol in lorries, ships, abattoirs, dairies, factories etc. associated with meat & dairy production
  10. Emissions from large chemical plants which produce fertilizer, weedkiller & other agricultural chemicals are also poisoning our air

WATER

  1. 25 gallons of water to produce 1lb of wheat & 2500 gallons to produce 1lb of meat
  2. UK farm animals produce 200,000,000 tonnes of slurry (liquid excrement) every year, the majority of which ends up in our rivers
  3. Bloody waste water from abattoirs ends up in our rivers
  4. In the USA every second humans produce 12,000 lbs of effluent while farmed animals produce 250,000 lbs
  5. Nitrates & pesticides used on crops grown to feed livestock end up in our rivers
  6. Meat & dairy farming uses 70 litres of water per day per animal in the UK or 159,250,000,000 litres per year in total
  7. The water used to produce 10 lbs of steak is equivalent to the average consumption of water for an entire household for an entire year
  8. Depletion of groundwater reserves to grow crops for animals & to supply abattoirs will lead to greater water shortages
  9. Aquafers (stores of underground water) in the San Joaquin valley in the USA are being drained at the rate of 500,000,000,000 gallons/year to produce meat
  10. 18% of all agricultural land in the world is irrigated & as global warming increases (partly due to animal farming) it will cost $200,000,000 to keep these systems going
  11. The water used to produce a 1000 lb beef steer is enough to float a Destroyer battleship
  12. The liquid waste from the various parts of the meat & dairy industry flow into the rivers & from there into the seas polluting them & encouraging huge algal blooms to grow

EFFICIENCY

  1. To produce 1calorie of energy from meat takes 60 calories of petrol, whereas growing grains & legumes to directly feed people produces 20 calories for each calorie of fuel used ( thats 1200 times more efficient)
  2. Meat & dairy farming uses billions of gallons of oil to run tractors, fuel ships & lorries (to move animal feed & animals), pump billions of gallons of water to irrigate fields & run slaughterhouses, power refrigeration units to prevent the corpses from decomposing & to power sewage plants to clean up some of the pollution produced
  3. Cattle convert only 6% of their energy intake (mainly grains & soya) into flesh, the remaining 94% is wasted as heat, movement (which is why they keep many animals in very close confinement), hair, bones, faeces etc
  4. 1lb of beef takes 1 gallon of petrol to produce
  5. A family of four eating beef for a year uses enough petrol to run a car for 6 months (obviously depending on how far you drive!)
  6. If the full ecological cost of meat was passed onto the consumer - the price would be quadrupled (at least)
  7. The EC spends 100,000,000's to subsidise animal production resulting in lakes of unwanted milk & mountains of unwanted meat & butter. This money could be better spent encouraging organic fruit, vegetable & grain production
  8. In the USA in 1979 145,000,000 tons of crops were fed to cattle resulting in only 21million tons of animal bodies - the cost of the wasted crops was $20,000,000,000
  9. Between 1950 & 1985 grain production in Europe & the USA increased massively but 2/3 was fed to animals
  10. 70% of all grain is fed to animals
  11. Eating vast quantities of animal flesh, eggs, milk & butter is a luxury that most of the planet can not afford

ANIMALS

  1. Fishing with drift (and other modern) nets weakens & destroys ecosystems by indiscriminately killing billions of sea creatures & disrupting the sea bed
  2. Fishermen's nets kill 10 times as many other animals as the fish they are hoping to catch
  3. Fish caught in nets die an agonising slow death of suffocation
  4. Each year 15,000,000,000 land animals are slaughtered for food & an unknown but much larger number of sea creatures (including 1000's of dolphins caught accidentally)
  5. Chickens are crammed into battery cages with upto 3 other birds, they are unable to even spread their wings & many can not even stand up
  6. Unwanted male chicks (because they can't lay eggs) are gassed or pulped while their sisters go to the battery sheds
  7. Chicks are debeaked without anaesthetic to prevent them injuring each other in the unnaturally confined conditions they are kept in - this is equivalent to having your fingernails pulled out without anaesthetic
  8. Modern farming methods using growth hormones & artificial lighting mean that many chickens out grow their bones, resulting in fractured & broken legs
  9. Sows are kept tethered in stalls 1.3 x 1 metre on concrete or slatted floors - they can not even turn around
  10. Poultry raised for meat are kept in windowless broiler sheds, with around 20-30,000 in each shed, they live in an area of 10-20 cm square - fighting due to overcrowding is common & like battery hens they commonly suffer from supperating bed sores
  11. Broilersheds are artificially lit 23 hours a day to produce rapid growth
  12. Animals travel between farms & to slaughter in overcrowded transporters with no food or water - resulting in stress, injuries & deaths - legal requirements are widely ignored
  13. 95% of poultry suffer injuries before being killed & 30% suffer broken bones
  14. Problems with stunning practices mean that many animals have their throats slit while still conscious (around 6% of cattle or 200,000 per year) & are then dipped in tanks of scalding water (to loosen feathers, bristles etc.) again while fully conscious
  15. 4000 animals die spurting their blood out every minute in a British slaughterhouse
  16. Calf leather comes from animals killed at just 2 weeks old
  17. Cows were fed on the ground up remains of other cows & sheep - the result is thought to be BSE (mad cow disease) in the USA cattle are fed partly on recycled plastic pellets
  18. Cows only give milk for 10 months after they have a calf - so they are routinely artificially inseminated (ie. mechanically raped) to keep them pregnant & milking - their calves are taken away (usually at 12 hours old) for meat or export to veal crates
  19. Cows would naturally live upto 20 years but are slaughtered after 5-7 years when their milk production begins to fall
  20. In the UK animals are killed by first being stunned with electricity or a captive bolt gun (ie. a bolt is fired into their heads) before having their throats slit & being plunged into boiling water - all this happens on a production line with the animals being hung upside down from a moving conveyor belt - this is factory farming
  21. "Animals are those unfortunate slaves & victims of the most brutal part of mankind" - John Stewart Mill (philosopher)
  22. Veal calves are confined in stalls in the dark, unable to move & are fed on pigs blood , chocolate & dried milk (we are drinking the rich fresh milk of their mothers)
  23. Cows naturally produce 5 litres of milk per day for their calves - under the intensified systems of modern farming they produce 25-40 litres per day - resulting in swollen & inflamed udders - at this rate they are soon worn out
  24. Large areas of land are under monoculture to grow crops to feed to animals - these areas are wildlife deserts supporting fewer & fewer species.

HEALTH

  1. Vegetarians have a 20% lower rate of mortality from all causes (ie. they live longer & don't get sick as often)
  2. Meat is full of traces of antibiotics, hormones, toxins produced by stress & pesticide residues that become concentrated from all the crops they have eaten
  3. Fish contain heavy metals & other pollutants -many of which originated on farms
  4. The world health organisation recommends a diet low in saturated fat, sugar, salt & with plenty of fibre - exactly what you get on a vegan/vegetarian diet
  5. Farmed animals contain upto 50% saturated fat in their bodies
  6. Vegetarians have 24% reduced risk of getting heart disease & Vegans a 57% reduction (heart disease is the biggest killer in the UK accounting for 50% of deaths)
  7. Obesity is rare in vegetarians, obesity is related to many diseases
  8. Vegans & vegetarians have lower blood pressure & cholesterol levels - high levels are associated with heart disease, strokes & kidney failure
  9. Vegetarians have a 50% reduced risk of dying of diabetes
  10. Vegetarians have a 40% reduced level of cancer than the general population thought to be because they have a higher intake of vitamins A,C & E
  11. Vegetarians have a reduced risk of developing gall & kidney stones
  12. 80% of food poisoning is due to infected meat (faeces, bacteria etc.) after all meat is decomposing flesh - most of the rest is due to salmonella in eggs
  13. Osteoporosis due to calcium loss from bones is mainly due to the sulphur content in meat & casein protein in milk that cause calcium to be lost in the urine - the countries with the highest meat & dairy consumption are those with the highest levels of brittle bones
  14. 50% of people do not have the enzyme to digest milk properly & milk allergy is related to asthma & eczema
  15. Meat eaters have double the rate of Alzheimers disease as Vegans & Vegetarians - some people also think that Parkinsons disease is also linked to meat eating
  16. Egg yolk is a dense concentration of saturated fat & the white is high in albumin protein associated with leaching calcium into your urine. Butter is 80% saturated fat, cream is 40% saturated fat & cheese is 25-40% saturated fat
  17. Meat eaters are two and a half times more likely to get bowel cancer than Vegetarians
  18. The cling film used to wrap meat in supermarkets & butchers contains chemicals linked to falling sperm counts in men
  19. Chinese people (living mainly on a vegetarian diet) consume 20% more calories than Americans but Americans are 20% fatter
  20. Of 2,100,000 deaths in the USA in 1987, 1,500,000 were related to diet (ie. meat & dairy)

And after reading it the people will say that they want to have it just for the sake of taste and nothing else but i wanna ask those people that about which taste are they talking about...??? If i will offer you raw meat uncooked to eat then will u be able to have it for the same taste for which you are having it now...??? Think again before you have it next time....
I have one incident to share with you all...i hav a friend of mine who takes eggs in routine regularly...once i offered him my tiffin containing soya day(soya granule) and asked him to guess what it was and after tasting it his reply was that its an egg but instead it was soya day...so i jst want to say that people who take non veg. jst for the sake of the taste and when the same taste is available in the vegetarian food then there is no issue to take non veg...SO NEXT TIME WHEN U TAKE NON VEG PLZZ GIVE YOURSELF ATLEAST ONE GOOD REASON FOR HAVING IT....STOP HAVING NON VEG...

BaWa Is tHe BEST....!!!

This is a small poem which i have written for bawa (khurshed batliwala, he is YES+ director and very senior Art of Living teacher and i am his big fan and everything he writes in his blog) ... I have tried to put my best effort to make the poem best...Here it is...

Bawa is the BEST
And he teaches us The Art of Living with a ZEST

He is as busy as an ANT
But to no problem's solution he says I CAN'T

He teaches us to be HAPPY
He teaches us to be BUTTON PROOF
The solutions of problems which he gives us are so GOOD
That we enjoy our lives in a cool MOOD

He is very polite
And he glows everyone's life with his wisdom's light
He makes every youth's life full of celebration, enthusiasm & joy
Which is not possible with any kind of TOY

So SMARTLY and INTELLIGENTLY he speaks
That his talks makes a guilty person feel high
For me he is trailer of movie
the movie is called SRI SRI

Oh BAWA..!!Oh BAWA..!!
We pay high regards to you
And thank GURUJEE that we got a teacher like you.

This was the only pic of bawa available wid me in which he was alone if u pple have a pic better than this then plzz mail it 2 me at yesplus.anshuman@gmail.com... i will put that here..

Jai Gurudeva...

In last post i wrote about a word ""Jaigurudeva""......

Here is what Jai Gurudeva means...

Guru is that who is wise, mysterious, profound, unknowable... and there are people like this in our lives... unfortunately they are also fairly boring and being with them for extended periods of time leaves us feeling a tad heavy...

Dev is one who is innocent, fun loving, mischievous, spontaneous... and ofcourse we know people like this too, but being with them leaves us thinking that they are quite shallow, that they have no depth

however, when wisdom goes with mischief, when depth goes with innocence, when mystery goes with spontaneity, then a great beauty dawns... this is the beauty of Gurudeva, and so when we say Jai Gurudeva! we mean victory (Jai) to both these energys... May that beauty dawn within you

lets not just be wise and boring or playful and shallow, but both together... all of us have the capability to be this... all of us have both these energys within us, Jai Gurudeva! means let both these energys blossom within you...

"May you be wise and playful!" - Jai Guurdeva!

MY JOURNEY....

I joined Art Of Living family (my new family) last year in june fist week and today its more than an year that i am into it and this past year was a wonderful experience for me.... I have grown a lot in just one year which i was unable to do in my 17 years of life before it... Earlier before joining it i used to consider it a useless thing and considered that it is for people who are matured and who have led a life of 40-50 years but after doing the course i realized that i was wrong and being in it talking to more and more people day by day i have realized that the thinking of mine before joining the course is the common among all the youngsters today and they consider that Art Of Living is just about Yoga And Meditations but guys it is more than that its about real art of living in today's world which is full of various negativities...
I started with a YES course at that time which is a course specially meant for the youth between the age group of 14-18 and all the the activities included in this course is for overall development of youth belonging to this particular age group of 14-18... It was really a dynamic course and after doing this course i found a profound change in myself what i was after doing this course and what i was before doing it... My confidence was at high and my friends circle got so vast which earlier was restricted to 4-5 people around me....I did this course along with Karan who is also my very close friend and presently he is pursuing B.tech at IIT,roorkee and working for Art of Living over there...Immediately after doing this course i made Nitish to do next YES course... We three were near to 18 when we did this YES course...
Then we did YES!+ after entering our respective institutes and i did it in February from 6-13 this year and experienced long sudarshan kriya(in YES course youths are introduced to short kriya)... It was really amazing experience for me... It was like a new birth for me after doing this course.... The experience I had can't be expressed in words and that high i experienced is just beyond the imagination of a common man... This particular course(YES!+) is for overall development of YOUTH in today's world which is full of so much competition and all and we are introduced to techniques for time management, concentration skills, personality grooming, stage fear and all... All these techniques mentioned are just a bit introduction about the course and there is much more that you will find after doing this course... The techniques are so practical that it becomes very easy for any individual to bring them down to their life... So if still you haven't done this course what are u waiting for...??? Register yourself for the next YES!+ NOW...!!! Check out the next course dates happening in or near your city here at www.yesplus.org...
Also we have been to banglore ashram (which is perfect holiday destination for anyone and full of adventure) this year in june for the advance course that experience i wanna keep pending for my next post...
These days life is going at speed in full swing and i am learning new things each day even this (blog making) is also due to YES!+ as bawa (he is the one who has designed YES+ and very senior teacher of AOL, will tell abt him in upcoming posts) has inspired all of us to make our individual blog... What i wanna say is that i have got a lot after joining Art of living in all the aspects of my life...!!!
THANKS to Gurujee for everything....!!!
